Senior Performance Verification Architect
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Chip Performance Verification Architect to lead the performance verification efforts for our complex System-on-Package (SoP) used for AI.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful performance verification projects for high-end SoCs.
Responsibilities:
- Performance Verification Strategy: Develop comprehensive performance verification plans, including testbench architecture, coverage metrics, and performance metrics, tailored to the specific requirements of our high-end SoC.
- Methodology Development: Define and implement cutting-edge performance verification methodologies and best practices across different verification levels (block, SoC, SoP), leveraging the latest techniques for high-performance SoC validation.
- Toolchain Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate performance verification tools (e.g., Direct, UVM, Formal, Emulation) based on project requirements, team expertise, and the specific challenges of high-end SoCs.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with architecture, design engineers, verification engineers, validation, and software teams to ensure effective verification coverage and efficient resource allocation.
- Emulation Strategy: Develop and oversee the emulation strategy, working closely with software teams to ensure seamless integration and accurate performance validation, especially for complex AI workloads.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance metrics (e.g., IPC, latency, power consumption, MLPerf benchmarks) to assess the SoC's performance against stringent requirements.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and work closely with design teams to implement optimizations, leveraging your expertise in performance analysis and tuning techniques.
Office location: Tel Aviv / Caesarea
- Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and training to team members on performance verification methodologies, tools, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in VLSI chip performance verification, with a strong focus on high-end SoCs and AI applications.
- Proven track record of leading performance verification teams and delivering successful projects that meet demanding performance targets.
- Deep understanding of performance verification methodologies, benchmarking, and analysis tools tailored for high-performance SoCs.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills to guide and inspire the team towards achieving exceptional performance.
- BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, MSc – an advantage.
- Experience with AI-specific performance benchmarks, NoC performance benchmark and optimization techniques – an advantage.
- Knowledge of system-level performance analysis and modeling for high-performance SoCs – an advantage.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for automation and data analysis – an advantage.
