Your contributions will be pivotal across various engineering specializations, including Operations, Module Engineering, Process Integration, and more, all while honing skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and technical expertise in a high-tech environment. Your role will help keep our manufacturing facilities operating to our high standards and top performance so we can create the newest technologies and a brighter, more connected future for everyone.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Intel engineers design and develop system wide software solutions applying engineering, mathematical, simulation and optimization models to drive solutions to complex manufacturing problems.

  • Identify and solve highly complex problems in factory performance, loading, equipment performance, decision science and distribution network problems.

  • Require a thorough understanding of the factory environment and knowledge to develop software applications of complex engineering models and apply them to identify and drive solutions.

  • Build, develop, validate, and apply mathematically based decision algorithms, heuristics, optimization and simulation models and tools.

  • Work closely with the business units to identify root causes, define the strategic and tactical needs and drive the appropriate business and technical software solutions.

  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal technical training, business knowledge and engineering judgment.

  • Candidate must exhibit interpersonal, analysis and presentation skills to lead and manage projects, and to influence and work within varying levels of customer management and decision bodies.

This is a 3-month Full-time Internship.


Qualifications


Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research, relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least one of the following:

  • Candidate must be actively pursuing a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research.

  • 6+ months knowledge/experience in the following:

    • Background in software development.

    • Data analysis skills and Database programming such as SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming and Debugging experience.

  • Data analysis skills and Database programming (Oracle) experience.

  • Applied statistics experience

  • Knowledge of discrete event simulation modeling languages.

  • Skilled in formulation of Linear and Integer Optimization problems.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $63,000.00-$166,000.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
