Senior Attorney
Job Description
Intel has an immediate opening for a Senior Attorney supporting Intel's products, business, sales and marketing needs in APJ. This is an excellent opportunity to join a smart, creative network of lawyers counseling on complex local and global matters in a key and dynamic Intel office.
In this position, you will:
- Partner with business clients to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for Intel products and solutions
- Draft and advise on technology development engagements with customers, eco-system partners, government and academic institutions
- Manage Intel intellectual property licensing needs for joint development projects and initiatives
- Counsel on sales, commercial, pricing, antitrust and marketing law matters
- Draft and negotiate various sales, licensing, pricing, marketing, engineering and commercial terms agreements
- Assist in the creation of policies and procedures supporting antitrust and sales best practices
- Provide guidance on local Japan law matters and regulations to senior management
- Manage external counsel to resolve critical legal issues to support Intel's business growth
- Assist Intel's Litigation and Legal Compliance teams from time to time on various matters
- Develop and deliver training to employees and support compliance efforts.
Qualifications
- Must be legally qualified and admitted to practice law in Japan or a Commonwealth jurisdiction
- Graduate qualification from Japan or abroad
- Proficient in Japanese and English
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience.
Desirable Attributes and Skills:
- Previous in-house counsel experiences supporting clients, selling systems or devices
- Ability to tightly integrate with clients, understand their objectives, and communicate clear, concise and practical legal advice
- Familiarity with intellectual property, antitrust, commercial and marketing law
- Strong communication, collaboration, influencing, drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent judgment and the ability to make decisions on complex legal issues and drive creative, risk-optimized business solutions
- Demonstrated teaming and project management skills and ability to successfully work with attorneys and business clients across different geographies
- Decisiveness and proven ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Talent for proactively anticipating issues and successfully managing a diverse and complex workload with competing priorities
