Strategic Sales Application Engineer
Job Description
Microsoft is a strategic, influential partner that Intel collaborates with to deliver solutions across the spectrum of client, cloud, and edge. Team Microsoft, Windows, and Devices directly and indirectly contributes strongly to the Intel PC-Client revenue and design pipeline through our Windows partnership. As a Strategic Sales Application Engineer (SAE) for Windows, you will be working with Intel and Microsoft stakeholders to influence the Windows ecosystem.
Intel and Microsoft have a long-term strategic initiative that focuses on an Experience-First approach through SW and HW development and long-term planning, application compatibility, effectiveness, and performance, Sales and Marketing, and System Innovations.
As the Windows Strategic SAE, you will have direct impact to these initiatives. As a teammate focused on Strategic field sales and engineering, primary responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with engineering and technical experts at Microsoft to streamline adoption of Intel offerings into the Devices portfolio.
- Collaborating with Intel business unit (CCG, SMG, AXG, etc.) stakeholders to provide customer advocacy, technical needs, and Microsoft Devices roadmap alignments/misalignments- Providing timely feedback to the factory on product and strategy issues to ensure the Intel can respond to and/or anticipating changes needed to maintain success
- Managing Intel roadmap and Microsoft Windows and Devices portfolio alignments
- Align and drive cross-functional technical stakeholders to measure program success
- Leading forward-looking strategic, technical programs aligned with Intel's platform strategy
- Contributing to sales strategies, planning, and execution to grow Intel's innovation business with Microsoft
- Being a bridge builder between Microsoft and Intel to grow our PC business through executing on our strategic initiatives
- Connecting ideas between Team Microsoft edge and cloud teams where the client products and projects build on each other to deliver increased value to the ecosystem and end-users
- Developing a clear understanding of Intel's business practices including pricing, forecasting, T /Cs, Distribution and Business Code of Ethics.
As a successful candidate, you must possess:
- Working knowledge of Intel's client business
- Excellent communications skills capable of synthesizing and abstracting complex information into clear messages and impactful presentations for internal audiences, technical customer stakeholders, and leadership teams.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) and/or 4+ years of industry experience
- 2+ years customer facing experience (not necessarily in sales)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years customer facing or sales experience; Technical design and customer support experience.

Working Model
