Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create custom layout to internal customer specifications.

  • Create custom tapeout to fit within the Intel Process Technology from numerous internal/external customers.

  • Serving as the Customer focal point for pre-tapeout deliverables and readiness.

  • Providing guidance to Customers on tapeout with respect to Intel manufacturing process.

  • Coordination of design reviews for pre-tapeout checks.

  • Performing logistics setups and reviews, and resolving technical issues related to design tape-outs and mask building.

  • Using the EDA tools to create custom layout or fix layout violations.

  • Needs to script with TCL/Python to tie together different software in creating the final tape out package.

  • Using scripting language to quickly complete layout.

  • Be able to coordinate between internal teams.


Qualifications


You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below may be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualification:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and 2+ years related experience.

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in semiconductor industry inclusive of design, tapeout, new product introduction and semiconductor fab setup with knowledge in related areas such as mask data preparation, in-line metrology, mask lithography and manufacturing, test chips, mask frame building, OPC or mask manufacturing.

  • Experience in software engineering (preferred languages are CSH, Perl, TCL, Python), shell scripting on a Linux platform.

  • Relational database experience (SQL).

  • Experience with EDA tool(s) such as KLayout, or Calibre DESIGNrev, or Calibre DESIGNmdpv, or CADENCE VIRTUOSO.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $91,500.00-$137,436.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
