Job Description


Manufacturing Automation Software Development Engineer team supports manufacturing systems (MES, DSS etc) in the factory, performing various tasks like maintenance, troubleshooting incidents, system upgrade, executing durable work and following through with the different support groups to resolve incidents.

We are looking for a highly motivated individuals that excel in working independently and as part of a team, to lead the way in delivering automation solutions for Intel's dynamic manufacturing environment.

As a Manufacturing Automation Software Development Engineer, your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Integrates, tests, installs, configures, and/or supports Factory Automation software systems.
  • Applies advanced troubleshooting to automation system problems.
  • Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs.
  • Serves as automation expert for a designated set of automation systems, including representing integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams.
  • Position may include some software development of related enhancements, supplemental systems, and/or support and monitoring tools.
  • Work on a normal shift but able to extend to off office support on needed basis.

Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related engineering fields
  • IT automation knowledge, MES/Manufacturing business acumen.
  • 3 years and above in manufacturing automation system support.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Has basic to intermediate programming skills - SQL queries, Oracle Store Procedure, Python, C, C#, powershell scripting is a plus
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A team player
  • Resourceful creative and innovative in coming out with ideas to resolve issues
  • Proficient with current IT technologies
  • Ability to run shift
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing system (DSS, MES, real time dispatching system (RTD)) is a plus.
  •  Experience in Windows, Linux and Cloud (e.g. Azure) platforms is a plus
