Intel's Foundry Technology Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA) group is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Software Application Development Engineer to join our dedicated team of factory automation group. Our team develop and support mission critical applications essential for managing/classifying wafers defects and improving yield learning for Intel's network of semiconductor fabrication facilities around the world.
As a member of this team, you will work with our customers to collect requirements, design, develop, test/debug, document, and support the software applications. Our software application development typically spans the full application stack including both frontend and backend application development with emphasis on delivering great user experience.
The candidate of choice will utilize modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines, analyzes user stories, writes both functional and test code, automates build and deployment, and performs unit integration and end-to-end testing of applications. In this role, we expect you to play a key role interacting with end users and stakeholders in defining and updating system requirements with agility and great tolerance to ambiguity.
In addition, candidate needs to have effective verbal/written communication and analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills. The person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility is key to their success. Having depth and breadth of knowledge of managing servers in a large-scale distributed environment is a core competency of this individual.
Major Duties and responsibilities include:
- Working with customers and partners to design Cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.
- Serving as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.
- Create and deliver best practices, recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
- Working collaboratively with other teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues and implement scalable test automation solutions.
- Working onsite daily to be able to support the customer needs and access specific areas for managing/classifying wafer defects and improving yield learning within Defect Metrology secure environment systems.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
- BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related STEM degree with 4+ years of experience or MS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related STEM degree with 3+ years of experience or PhD degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related STEM degree with 1+ years of experience.
- 3+ years’ experience with Object-oriented software design and development skills on C#/.NET and Python.
- 1+ years’ experience with AI/Machine learning.
- 2+ years’ experience with modern development tools (Visual Studio, GitHub, Jira, CI/CD),
- 2+ years’ experience Microsoft or Oracle database technologies (inc. SQL)
- US Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 4+ years in experience in:
- Software development and design.
- Object-oriented software design and development skills on C#/.NET and Python
- Understanding of modern development tools (Visual Studio, GitHub, Jira, CI/CD) Microsoft or Linux operating systems
- Microsoft or Oracle database technologies (inc. SQL)
- Container solutions such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Matlab, GUI development (C#/.NET)
- Semiconductor manufacturing automation experience/knowledge in Defect Metrology areas.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solution architectures.
- Active US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
