Senior IT Finance Architect
Job Description
The Senior IT Finance Architect is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships across all finance business lines. The architect implements methodologies and programs that help business leaders improve the way we operate the business to achieve operational goals and realize our Digitization strategy. They will work closely with business partner to develop and manage Business Capability Model to identify overlaps and gaps; develop roadmap to ensure the efficiency and consistency of the customer experience and business solutions. The architect will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to Value Stream and Architecture directors, Solution group leads, Enablement directors and Delivery managers, Process owners and Agile persistent team leads in identifying opportunities for technology solutions and supporting prioritization.
The architect possesses an understanding of complex finance business needs. They establish and improve business analysis processes and mentor business architects and business analysts. They are responsible for understanding and improving business solutions, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT technical teams for critical and complex projects.
Individuals in this position have a broad understanding of finance business processes, customs and trade solutions, taxation solutions, ERP solutions, finance planning and reporting and procurement integration experience, experience working with multiple technologies and have demonstrated the ability to work with users at all levels in the finance businesses.
- Devises strategies and programs for improving overall finance architecture across the enterprise and be the though leader and expert advisor for the business partners in finance IT solution technologies.
- The architect develops an integrated view of company business capabilities and processes using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.
- Contributes to establishing practices, standards and governance for effective Architecture across the organization.
- Develops and maintains overall solution capability roadmaps based on a situational awareness of overall business strategy, operational goals, and critical business challenges and opportunities.
- Re-engineers key processes in partnership with business users and capabilities and maps to future-state vision.
- Leads and mentors other cross functional team members in the development of architecture and analyst deliverables, understanding industry best practices/standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Engineering or other technical degree including experience with IT technologies, statistical / quality methodology 10+ years' experience with 8-10 years of experience gained within finance area, in depth knowledge of finance processes and methods, APQC models, Lean six sigma principles, experience in process in technology in areas such as cross-functional business processes for major operational areas, project management, vendor management, DEVOPS and project life cycle.
- 6 years of experience as a Tech Lead, or Solution Architect
- 8 years' experience architecting and implementing finance solutions leveraging SAP ECC, SAP S/4
- Demonstrated experience with finance tools including SAP Central Finance/Group Reporting, SAP IBP, SAP SAC, SAP PaPM, SAP MBC, Blackline tools, Quantum tools, Bloomberg tools, PowerBI, BOBJ
- Demonstrated experience across finance concepts including Profit and Loss planning, balance sheet planning, cash flow planning, currency and exchange rates, accounting concepts, general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, asset depreciation, capital and expense management, WBS element management, cost and profit center management, actual labor costing, workforce authorization management, intersegment pricing and transfers, intercompany operations, direct and indirect procurement, project accounting, cost accounting and strategy, inventory accounting Experience with customs and trade compliance, legal operations, contract lifecycle management, and US government contracting requirements including audit, time keeping, costing, pricing and compliance
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communication as well as visualizations and deliver presentations to senior leadership.
- A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities with demonstrated business and high-level strategic thinking and the ability to define practical solutions that align with corporate strategy
- Strong process analysis and modeling skills along with ability to lead complex enterprise teams through business process integrations, converting business strategy into action-oriented objectives and measurable results.
- Ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communication as well as visualizations and deliver senior management presentations.
- Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities and be a thought leader to create and drive innovative solutions.
- Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others and move toward consensus.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in finance or IT areas.
- Technical and Data Architecture understanding, TCO Management
- Mastery of Enterprise Architecture concepts with relevant experience with TOGAF, Zachman or other frameworks using Bizz Design, SAP Signavio, and BIC architectural tooling
- Expertise in architecting and configuring interactive UIs, workbenches, exceptions, and reports based on specific business requirements.
- Expertise with master and business reference data concepts including the practical application of these concepts in finance.
- Expertise in SAP Ariba, Icertis, Agiloft, spends management, collaboration tools like E2Open and OpenText, scenario KPI comparison, creating and managing business measures, and other business requirements.
- Experience facilitating and leading business diagnostics, process analysis, and design workshops to help flush out as-is and desired to be solution state and ultimately write a solution design documents to support architecture based on Business Requirements
- Expertise in working with the project team to ensure smooth and efficient implementation and integration between technical and functional system requirements.
- Expertise in working as a functional liaison between project team and key customer executives.
- Provides advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology.
