Technology Development and Modeling (TDM) is part of Intel's Design Enablement (DE) organization. DE is a key pillar in enabling Intel to deliver design, development and manufacturing services that allow internal and external customers to deliver winning products to the marketplace. Your work will directly enable design teams to get to the market faster with leadership products based on innovative technologies.
As a member of TDM you will be at the forefront of co-optimizing Intel's state-of-the-art process technology which allows customers with diverse design needs to enable best-in-class products for data-centric applications. Tech Definition and Modeling Team serves as the design interface with the process development team and works out key design/process interactions for all new Intel processes.
This position involves developing and maintaining software for various device models for spice level simulation to deliver highly accurate representations of silicon performance in a wide variety of circuit design environment while working in a highly interactive team environment with the following responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain compact/SPICE device model code and equations in internal and external circuit simulation tools, that are used for designs across Intel.
- Devise models and to accurately reproduce current Silicon trends across all technology nodes. Guide and aid in developing test structures to explore Silicon trends in circuit layout.
- Work closely within technology development and design teams across Intel to deliver high-quality models.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
- Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- 1+ years of experience in the following:
- Semiconductor device physics or related coursework/experience.
- Python and/or C/C++.
- Device simulation or transistor modeling/design or circuit simulation or compact model development.
- Circuit Design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD degree with 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field with an emphasis in device physics and the operation of MOSFETs.
- 1+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Machine learning algorithms and their applications.
- Software application or tool design and modeling.
- Numerical Methods and Spice software design.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
