Software Research Engineer/Scientist
Job Description
- Solves engineering problems critical for technology and product development through software expertise, domain knowledge, modeling, and research methodologies.
- Develops strategic software applications, algorithms/flows, and/or AI solutions to ensure continued advancement.
- Researches technological trends, collaborates with industry, academic, and industry standardization, product, and technical groups to address important technology and customer issues, and finds innovative solutions to difficult problems for midterm or long term time frames (two years or beyond).
- May research to define boundaries, create proof of concepts, or prototype new ideas.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1+ years of work or educational experience in full-stack development of scalable, secure, high performance web application with high usability index.
Preferred Qualifications:
- minimum 6 months experience in: UI/UX for web development.
- Scalable web architecture, web services and web security.
- Javascript, emscripten, React and associated workflows like Redux.
- Automated testing frameworks like Cypress. CSS and popular design frameworks like boostrap.
- Data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js).
- Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
- Candidate must have 3+ year experience with a Master's degree, or Ph.D with 1 years or experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or other relevant related degrees with a software focus.
