Job Description


  • We are seeking candidates with over 5 years of experience in C/C++, data structures, and DDR/NoC/PCIe performance modeling for Intel (Altera - Programmable Solutions Group).
  • This role is part of the core architecture team for the FPGA product line and involves architecture definition, performance modeling, and analysis for various vertical workloads, including embedded, networking, and AI.
  • You will join a strong development team focused on system-level modeling for architecture exploration and software development.
  • Your responsibilities will include developing simulation models for architectural components such as interconnects and peripherals (e.g., memory controllers) or complete SoC platforms using C++/C/SystemC.
  • These models may be created from scratch or involve integrating third-party models into our tool environment.
  • Additionally, you will support customer success by designing and improving product flows, enhancing software quality, and collaborating closely with customer support.

In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.


Qualifications


  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's degree in ECE/CS with 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in C/C++Knowledge of hardware and software interfacing Technical leadership experience in multi-member team projects Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication, teamwork, and networking skills
  • Preferred Knowledge of SystemC, TLM, and experience in creating system-level models
  • Understanding of embedded software Familiarity with memory architectures like DDR/LPDDR/GDDR/HBM
  • Understanding of bus protocols such as AHB/AXI/ACE/CHI Experience with EDA performance modelling tools like Synopsys Platform Architect.
  • Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
