Who We Are

Join one of the premier software development teams at Intel to solve challenging problems through the creation of high-performance C++ algorithms.

Our team is responsible for creating layout automation capabilities that enable chip designers to fully utilize next-generation manufacturing processes and best in class product design convergence.

We are looking for a software engineer that enjoys solving challenging geometric problems using multi-threaded algorithms that are time and space efficient. In addition to solving problems through applied software engineering practices, our team assists Design Technology Co-Optimization efforts, layout creation, and assembly. You will experience teamwork in a very collaborative and interactive working environment.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team of experienced engineers.

  • Enjoy creating innovative algorithms to solve challenging geometric puzzles.

  • Passion to develop and deliver modular highly maintainable production-quality software.

  • Demonstration of effective cross-team coordination and technical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective software engineering skills.

  • High performance computing including cache-optimized data storage and retrieval.

  • Experience with C++ software development on Linux systems.

  • Understanding of algorithmic impact of terabyte-scale datasets, graph theory, and high-performance multi-threading.


Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field with 3+ years of educational or work experience. OR a Master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field with 2+ years of educational or work with experience.

  • Experience must be in the following:

    • Experience with C++ programming skills including templates and virtual functions,

    • Experience with algorithms and algorithmic complexity, VLSI, layout completion, and fill algorithms.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $126,420.00-$178,480.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
