Intel Foundry Services (IFS) is an independent foundry business that is established to meet our customers' unique product needs. With the first Open System Foundry model in the world, our combined offerings of wafer fabrication, advanced process, and packaging technology, chiplet, software, robust ecosystem, and assembly and test capabilities help our customers build their innovative silicon designs and deliver full end-to-end customizable products from Intel's secure, resilient, and sustainable source of supply.

Join a collaborative and innovative team of engineers in creating virtual prototypes (executable software models) that simulate IP and SoC hardware, and are used for architecture exploration and technical readiness as well as enabling pre-silicon development of firmware and validation collateral.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Model design, implementation, integration, and validation.
Simulation and test infrastructure development.
Writing and debugging software across multiple layers of the software stack

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, as well is good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to work cross-geo/site when needed to accomplish results.

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Qualifications

What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):

Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science degree with 1+ years of experience or a Master of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering or any STEM related degree.
1+ years of work experience in any of the following:
- C++ and SystemC / TLM modelling - loosely, approximately and untimed models
- Object Oriented programming
- Embedded software development, debug or validation.
- Writing Unit or system level tests.
- Firmware/software design, implementation and debugging.

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

Development experience with virtual platforms using Simics or Synopsys Virtualizer.
Experience working with a team of engineers using Agile methodologies.
Experience with testing frameworks such as gmock and gtest.
Experience working with RDL/IPXact register definitions.
Experience with Python, shell scripts, profiling tools.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in Canada:CAD 85,600.00-128,200.00
Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
