Job Description


GPU Compute Architecture team is looking for a senior research engineer to lead the research and path finding for leadership technologies for the next generations of highly efficient GPU architectures.
The responsibilities in this role include but not limited to:

  • Understanding the current and new emerging opportunities for GPU such as Deep Learning and High-Performance Computing;
  • Performance and power analysis to identify bottlenecks and drive resolution through hardware and/or software solutions;
  • Software and hardware co-design in areas such as GPU instructions, accelerators and programming model;
  • Working closely and driving joint research and path finding projects with Research Labs and Academia to assess new research/algorithms in these domains and drive the most relevant innovations and features;
  • Research and development to influence next generation platform and connectivity designs to continually improve the GPU system performance.

Qualifications


Minimum skills and experience:

  • MS or PhD in CS, EE or Mathematics with 10+ years of experience in GPU and/or CPU Architecture
  • Research experience in CPU/GPU hardware and software architecture or design
  • Experience or knowledge in machine learning and deep learning algorithms, parallel programming and design


Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:

  • Knowledge of Deep Learning Algorithms/Networks and Frameworks.
  • Experience in building analytical and/or simulation based performance models and/or in Performance Analysis/Perf Debug.
  • Experience in uarch/RTL/Design/process technology

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $219,352.00-$351,256.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
