Intel’s Product Assurance & Security (IPAS) team is chartered with building & maintaining customer trust through unparalleled security, privacy & assurance of Intel products. This team drives security & assurance governance, identifies emerging threats, secures existing products through mitigations, and defines & initiates future security innovations for Intel products.

The Intel Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) is a key component of the IPAS charter and is responsible for managing the identification, assessment and disposition of risks associated with security vulnerabilities affecting Intel products. The team comprised of technically resilient and dynamic individuals that share a passion for product security and can operate calmly and systematically under chaotic conditions.

Core job responsibilities include: 

As a member of PSIRT you will evaluate technical aspects of security vulnerabilities and shepherd the Intel product teams through the PSIRT process. Working across the company you will leverage your organization skills, technical acumen, and communication skills to advise product teams on the impact of security vulnerabilities and help them establish the best course of action to remediate the vulnerabilities affecting Intel products. You will also contribute to the transformation of Intel PSIRT into a world class industry recognized model of excellence and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have the following behavioral skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to apply incident response principles and knowledge to software products and work across many matrixed teams to coordinate response activities. 

  • Proven ability to execute according to established processes and procedures while also contributing to on-going improvements. 

  • Ability to communicate with varied stakeholders, represent Intel, and diffuse tense situations. 

  • Demonstrated leadership across a matrixed organizational structure. 

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a startup and/or less structured environment, including initiatives, process improvements, or other distributed deliverables. 

  • Action-oriented, independently driven while working in connection with members of the team to accomplish projects and tasks. 

  • Ability to anticipate critical situations and to proactively plan tactical and strategic response to a product security issue. 


Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.  

Minimum Qualifications: 

Hold a Bachelor in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience or a Master of Science degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent. And 2+ years of experience in the following:

Practical experience in information security, application security, vulnerability management, and/or product security 

Technical background in software products, software as a service, cloud, and/or container software deployment models and security 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Security certifications like CEH, CISSP, GIAC, GCIA, SANS. etc. is desired.

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
