The Network and Edge group (NEX) at Intel drives the software-defined transformation of the world's infrastructure - in data centers, in networks, and at the edge. The NEX Chief Strategy Office is chartered with both identifying the forces shaping the future and the strategic inflections points they are creating, as well as defining NEX's response to those. As a Silicon Performance Analysis Undergraduate Intern in the Network and Edge group you will:

  • Collaborate with team of engineers to support Si Performance Analysis.
  • Learn state of art Analysis tools and techniques as needed for the analysis and for development and path finding for upcoming technologies.
  • This job requires hands on work, attention to details, and a strong sense of ownership.

The Silicon Performance Analysis Graduate and Undergraduate Intern should possess the attributes below:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Internship Availability: Must be able to report to the Chandler site a minimum of 2 days per week Starting in May/June 2024.
  • This position is not eligible for Intel visa sponsorship.
  • 9-12-month commitment.
  • May offer flexible hours during the school year.

Qualifications


What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through your educational level research and/or relevant job/internship experiences.

  • You must be actively enrolled and currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering
  • C,C++ programming, and one scripting language (python or BASH)
  • Working experience on Linux, specifically experience configuring and recompiling kernels in addition to day to day usage of the OS.



How to Stand out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Education or experience of the layers of the networking stack, Packet routing at layer 3.
  • Exposure in Computer Architecture, Operating Systems and Computer Networks preferred.

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
