When you join Corporate Services, you'll be part of the Intel team that keeps our factory systems running. This apprenticeship will combine classroom and on-the-job learning and training to teach you how to operate, service and maintain Intel’s Gas and Chemical systems.
As a Facilities Technician Apprentice your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Gain competency in maintaining and managing chemical and gas regulatory lists to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety programs.
Gain competency in required safety and quality standards and practices including the use of personal protective equipment, specialized equipment, and operational standards.
Learn to create and communicate documented standards for performing commissioning start-ups, daily operational tasks, and maintenance tasks.
Learn the fundamentals of the semiconductor manufacturing process including relevant chemistry, mechanical, electrical, and other similar systems.
With direction, learn to maintain and manage chemical and gas distribution systems through corrective and preventative maintenance tasks.
Adhere to and follow documented procedures.
Safely use and understand hand tools, power tools, and test / analytical equipment
The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

This is an on-site, full time, 1 year training program.
Candidates must be willing to work on a compressed work week schedule. Shifts are twelve hours long and rotate from three to four days a week. There are four shifts which include: Sunday/Monday/Tuesday every other Wednesday days (Shift 5); Thursday/Friday/Saturday every other Wednesday days (Shift 7); Sunday/Monday/Tuesday every other Saturday nights (Shift 4); and Wednesday/Thursday/Friday every other Saturday nights (Shift 6).

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum skills and experience:
Successfully completed Mesa’s Community College QuickStart, Intro to Semiconductor course
Current or past client of Fresh StartNon-profit organization
Enroll in Registered Apprentice program, with the state of Arizona, sponsored by the City of Phoenix
Candidate must be willing to lift 25-pound parts up to3 times (on average) per shift, climb and perform work on ladders up to2 times (on average) per shift, and walk 3.5 miles per shift
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) 3 hours (on average) per shift
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
