Your work will directly enable design teams to get to market faster with leadership products on cutting-edge technologies. As part of the Design Enablement Process Design Kit PDK group, you will join a highly motivated team of talented engineers solving challenging technical problems, enabling PDKs for Intel's most advanced process technologies and drive PDKs towards industry-standard methods and ease of use for the end customers.

The job requires partnering and leveraging domain experts across various areas of Technology Development, Electronic Design Automation EDA vendors, and product design teams to deliver high-quality Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) PERC collaterals and validation of associated EDA tools. As an EDA tools software engineer, you'll be responsible but not limited to the following: Validate Process Design Kit PDK; develop and test Engineering Design Automation tools; create flow scripts to analyze and test design methodologies; evaluate vendor practical capabilities to provide required products or services; design, deploy, and test the efficiency of tools to achieve design goals; and collaborate with design teams on methodology development.

EDA Tools Software Engineers are advocates of applying design methodologies to help execute projects effectively and successfully with high quality.

Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess an BS degree with 4+ years of experience or MS degree with 2+ years of experience or PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in the following:
- PERC (Programmable Electrical Rules Checking) experience for semiconductors.
- Experience in ESD protection development and knowledge of state-of-the-art concepts, victim protection and methodologies.
- Fundamental understanding of test methodology for ESD Charge Decay (CDM) and Human Body (HBM) models.
- Analog EDA design and validation tools for semiconductors.
- Python or Perl for Automation Validation

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $106,231.00-$159,109.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
