We are in search of an accomplished Staff Software Engineer with expertise in Elasticsearch, Kafka, JSON, .NET, and Observability to elevate our development team. In this role, you will contribute significantly to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of robust systems while ensuring comprehensive observability for efficient monitoring and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kafka Mastery: Leverage your deep understanding of Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kafka to architect, implement, and optimize high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant data pipelines and search systems.
  • Software Development in .NET: Apply your strong .NET development skills to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions that align with business requirements.
  • JSON Handling: Utilize your proficiency in JSON to seamlessly integrate data formats and effectively manage data interchange between systems.
  • Observability Integration: Implement comprehensive observability solutions to monitor, trace, and log system components, enabling proactive issue identification and efficient troubleshooting.
  • System Optimization: Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues within Elasticsearch, Kafka, .NET applications, and observability tools.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges related to data ingestion, processing, and storage. Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to maintain system reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall architecture and design of systems.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configurations, and best practices, fostering knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with approximately 15 years of experience.
  • Proven professional experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kafka, .NET, JSON, and Observability, including the implementation of monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions.
  • Strong software development skills with proficiency in .NET and experience with JSON data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience designing and implementing high-performance distributed systems and data processing pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
