As a working student in the Customer Hardware/Software Engineering team, you will gain hands on experience with latest Intel products and build your knowledge and skills towards being a technical expert, consultant and a technology trainer. You will work for the Customer and Ecosystem Enabling Division in the Network and Edge Group (NEX) and will be part of a global team of Customer Enabling Engineers working with a charter of providing technical support to Tier 1 customers and representing customer needs across divisions within the company to define future products.

The position offers a great opportunity to learn new technical skills, build relations within Intel and a great exposure to embedded industry.

What will you do:

You will support Customer Engineering engagements by:

  • Responding to customer support queries.

  • Reproducing and debugging customer issues using Intel reference design boards.

  • Creating test automation and remote test setups.

  • Resolving technical problems and customer issues by debug, research and coordination with others

  • Managing lab inventory


Qualifications


What we are looking for:

A student enrolled in bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or similar domains, having following skillset/experience

You must have:

  • Basic knowledge of computer architecture.

  • Basic knowledge of microcontroller/embedded boards.

  • Understanding of microcontroller or CPU Boot Process

  • Proficient in English language

  • Ability to collaborate with the team

  • Ability to work independently and be accountable for assigned tasks

  • Patience and the ability to work through hard-to-find issues

  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills


Its beneficial if you also have:

  • Familiarity with SW debug-tools

  • Familiarity with HW measurement equipment.

  • Ability to read and analyze electrical schematics and PCB board files

  • Familiarity with CAD tools (Cadence, Mentor, Zuken)

  • HW/SW/FW design experience

  • Knowledge of x86 architecture
