At Intel, Design Enablement (DE) is one of the key pillars enabling Intel to deliver winning products in the marketplace. Your will directly drive and work with DE cross teams to ensure design-kits leadership for customer enablement for cutting edge technologies. You will work with customers to outline critical requirements, collaborate with Intel internal partners to define the scope, plan execution, innovate competitive solutions to meets customer needs. This role is to support Intel Standard Cell PPA (Performance, Power, Area) analysis at advanced process nodes. You will collaborate with Standard Cell designers to construct industry standard FOMs (Figure of Merits) to benchmark through spice simulation. With standard cell design background, in terms of architecture or layout, you will analyze the changes of each indicator due to PDK migration and interpret the root causes like LDE (Layout-Dependent-Effect) or transistor/interconnect model change. You will be 1st line customer support for any standard cell issue, to debug, identify root cause, and work with designer to develop solutions. You will also work with team on key blocks APR to evaluate overall PPA from PDK to PDK. As a DEAS (Design Enablement Application and Support) key member, you will need to have good communication skills to interact with customers directly, apply analytical problem-solving capability to identify the key requests, root-causing the issue, and do teamwork with DE stakeholders to support and enable customer success.

Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a BS degree with 4+ years of experience or MS degree 3+ years of experience or PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related STEM fields.
3+ years of experience in the following:
- Proven trackable experience of Standard Cell designs, in terms of circuit design, layout, physical verification, timing simulation.
- Strong hands-on experience on spice simulation for constructed FOMs like ring oscillators, delay chains, and extract key indicators.
- In-depth knowledge with Standard Cell layout design architecture.
- In-depth knowledge with LDE (Layout Dependent Effect).
- In-depth knowledge of layout rules in advanced nodes.
- Proven ability to analyze issues, solve problems, and bring design closure.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Standard Cell designer, in terms of layout owner, circuit designer, etc.

- Have foundry experience.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
