Tax Accountant

Job Description


  • Prepares and files tax returns and make payments relevant to taxes (including withholding tax, Value Added Tax, Corporate Income Tax, transfer pricing documentation and business license tax, etc.) and ensures they are compliant with the tax reporting obligations.

  • Prepares and reviews related work papers, extensions, quarterly estimated tax calculations, annual reports, and other necessary requirements relevant to corporate tax provisions and returns.

  • Performs tax research and prepares technical memos to document findings related to local tax issues.

  • Perform tax reconciliation to ensure correct record.

  • Assists with internal compliance and local tax audits by gathering supporting documentation, performs tax analysis on related issues, and communicates with audit team.

  • Prepare letters to clarify tax positions with or to respond to questions from the tax authority.

  • Support the transfer pricing team to carry out the translation of transfer pricing related documents.

  • Collaborates with other team members such as accounting, operation team in identifying ways to optimize the tax information gathering process.

  • Provide tax consultancy to queries from the stakeholders.

  • Support the tax manager to provide tax analysis on new tax structure or new supply chain or new business ideas or incentives applicable to Intel businesses.

  • Defines the tax/accounting system roadmap and system requirements for the future and assists or directs system programming resources to develop accounting systems.

  • Process improvement/automation development.

  • Other task assignments or projects relating to tax/accounting/finance.


Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA degree in accounting/auditing

  • 4+ year working in accounting/ auditing position

  • Strong knowledge in VAS, IFRS, USGAAP (is preferred).

  • Advanced excel, Power Platform and other automation tools.

  • Logical thinking; willing to learning and change management mindset.

  • Good communication.

  • Excellent command of English.

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Working experience at Big 4 or tax position at a manufacturing multinational company

  • SAP experience.

  • Pursuing ACCA or CPA

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
