Intel's Oregon Assembly Test Development Factory (OATDF) is at the heart of the world-class innovations in next generation of semiconductor manufacturing and testing. This dynamic and fast expanding organization is looking for highly motivated engineers for the role of PCM (Probe Card Metrology) Module Development Engineer within the Sort program. This role will create, develop, ramp-up and optimize metrology solutions needed for current and future assembly and packaging technologies. Probe card metrology is a critical component of wafer and die sorting, and this role will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to Intel’s products.

Responsibilities included but not limited to the followings:

  • As an OATDF PCM Module Development Engineer, the candidate will be expected to develop, qualify and deploy into production the new Sort Interface Unit (SIU) tooling technology and metrology/inspection solutions to enable next generation testing of Intel's products.
  • Developing, optimizing and sustaining new equipment; planning and implementing hardware and/or software upgrades to enable new capabilities in existing equipment.
  • Working with cross functional teams to support OATDF programs including new SIU tooling qualification, supplier qualification, SIU dispositioning, new product introductions, setting up manufacturing systems and automation interaction.
  • Collaborating with Module, Integration and Process Development teams to debug complex hardware and process issues.
  • Establishing best practices and BKMs, creating knowledge sharing documentation and enabling technology transfers to factories across the world

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience OR
  • M.S. degree with 2+ years of experience, OR
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related Engineering field with 1+ year of experience
  • 2+ years of manufacturing or laboratory operation experience
  • Strong technical problem solving and debug skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intel tool install/qualification experience
  • Scripting/programming experience
  • Wafer Sort, Die Sort or related manufacturing floor experience
