Job Description


Our team is looking for a dynamic, hands-on individual to join their Silicon Technology Development Quality and Reliability Stress Labs operations team in RA1. Manufacturing Technicians support routine and novel experiments on a variety of wafer and package form factors and test equipment.

We provide package level assembly services for stress testing operations including:

  • Wafer die singulation
  • Automated pick and place
  • Wire bonding
  • Visual inspection of packages

The lab technician performs assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks in the production process, responsibilities include:

  • The candidate must be able to spend most of the time [more than 90 percent less break time] on the floor working on tool sets, processing Work in Progress, and/or standing/sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Utilizing hand tools using small, precise movements. The candidate must be willing to work in an electrostatic discharge sensitive room environment, wearing ESD smock, ESD shoes or shoe straps and safety glasses.
  • Ensuring that the finished products match the industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Also supports developing, building and testing new products and prototypes, or processes for quality and functionality.
  • Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization. Maintains overall production efficiency of assigned tools/ modules and optimizes production efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings as needed.
  • Sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Drives maximum utilization of equipment and use of automated systems to maximize quality of output.
  • Works with Manufacturing Operations Manager and peers to produce product that meets output requirements and escalates appropriately to management team when shift output schedules are at risk.
  • Supports incorporating process improvements, and troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability.
  • Ensures availability of required raw materials for production.
  • Inspects raw materials and final products, performing quality control evaluations to confirm items meet established standards.
  • Conducts quality checks on the functionality of parts and components.
  • Drives quality and cost improvements through area in conjunction with engineering. Maintains production logs and other required documentation as indicated by Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 + years experience in equipment troubleshooting and/or equipment maintenance.
  • 6+ months experience using microscopes and/or small hand tools and/or magnifying lights and/or specialized hand tools.
  • 6+ months experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office Applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in WorkStream
  • Experience with wire bonding process and tools.
  • Experience with automated die attach equipment.
  • Experience with wafer saws and/or USP laser scribe
  • Understanding of statistical process control.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical flow in a circuit.
  • SQL Pathfinder
  • Understanding electrical testing and troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical repair or PM experience of lab or cleanroom equipment.
  • 2+ years of military-related experience.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
