About the Group:

The Foundry Technology Development Group is responsible for the research, development, and deployment of next-generation silicon and packing technologies that will enable future Intel and Foundry customer products. Analytics and Technology Automation (ATA) is the center of excellence within the group, for data analytics for process and packaging and key enabler for process and yield development.

About the Role:

The AI Applied Research Scientist develops and implements new AI models to solve high value business problems. Utilizes familiarity with state-of-the-art AI methods and tools to perform applied research, adapting AI methods to new business problems and inventing new methods for solving them, including machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, computer vision, timeseries prediction, tabular data modeling, or pattern finding. Completes the full research cycle from academic literature survey, through performing the research, developing a proof of concept, and providing a production ready model.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving greater focus on advanced mathematical algorithms to solve future challenges including for Manufacturing, Design, Yield, Performance.
  • Influencing strategic roadmap and initiatives at the top level of the organization.
  • Delivering tangible results to highly complex and nebulous problems through aligning functional teams/partners and leading solution development with advanced mathematical algorithms.
  • Role modeling and promoting innovation and idea generation.

Required Experience:

  • Experience applying a variety of parametric/non-parametric, time-series, NN, supervised/unsupervised, Bayesian ML techniques to varied problems.
  • Proficiency with various data types: time series, image, numeric and text. Skillful in both big data analytics with Hadoop/Spark and small data modeling using advanced statistical approaches.
  • Experience programming in Python/R. Experience with Java/Scala/C++ preferred.
  • Successful program leadership

Qualifications


  • PhD in Science, Engineering OR Math
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and applying advanced algorithms across multiple industries and domains.
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor process or product development
