In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

  • Manages a team of software development engineers and architects responsible for the creation of operating system software.

  • Oversees software development across the lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, developing, debugging, and validating, and optimization, customer engagement, and/or product support.

  • Provides architectural and technical guidance to ensure sound engineering practices are followed.

  • Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

  • Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.


Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management, or any other related field with 9+ years of experience -OR- a master's degree in computer science, Information Management, or any other related field and 6+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Computer Science, Information Management, or any other related field and 4+ years of experience in:

  • Experience managing large software engineering teams, e.g. working worldwide across a multifunction matrixed organization, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines, technical stakeholders, and strategic planners.

  • Experience with Linux operating system including bare metal and virtualization and open-source software development.

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Linux Kernel subsystems maintenance.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $203,833.00-$325,999.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
