If you're passionate about computer graphics and working with leading graphics engineers on Intel's latest GPU hardware designs, then our Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics group (AXG) has opportunities for you. In AXG we are focused on delivering Best-in-Class visual experiences that enable users to immerse themselves in a new visual future. We develop graphics, media, display and imaging solutions for a range of platforms from traditional PC clients to high-end data center servers.

Currently the AXG Graphics Design team is looking for GPU HW Architect to work with the new Design team located in Gdansk and Katowice, Poland. The Graphics HW team will focus on a specific graphics hardware subsystem and contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle - starting from feature definition through design, development and validation of new graphics hardware features. The team will be closely cooperating with architects and software/hardware engineering teams to drive innovation and research and development of Intel graphics products in a holistic and global approach.


This role will report to a Senior Manager located in Poland.


Qualifications


  • 14+ years of experience in the hardware design industry with a track of completed commercial projects with visible results: shipped products, demos, patents, publications, etc.

  • 14+ years of experience in RTL development, including practical knowledge of design tools and environments

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical leader or team manager for solving complex technical issues related to hardware design, development and/or validation

  • Experience in developing innovation and achieving operational excellence

  • Very good coaching and motivational skills and experience of performance development

  • Knowledge of CPU/GPU/NPU hardware architectures and components

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills


Any of the below skills and experience can make you stand out:

  • Design, development, and integration of IP blocks for system-on-chip (SoC) components

  • Knowledge of: Verilog and System Verilog, Synthesis flow and timing closure, Multi-clock domain designs, SVA

  • Functional and power/performance optimisation / and verification (experience in considerations for power, performance and cost optimization is desirable).

  • Experience in reading and writing technical documentation (high-level spec and micro-architecture spec is desirable)

  • 3D graphics and HW/SW architecture experience

  • Graphics design process knowledge (RTL, emulation, validation)

  • Deep knowledge of GPU hardware pipeline

  • Knowledge of 3D graphics theory, rendering algorithms and techniques used in games

  • Knowledge of SoC and Platform level product architectures

  • Familiarity with architecture simulators

  • Experience with Synopsys and Cadence tools (JasperGold)

Working Model


This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
