Job Description


Cloud Software Engineer:

  • Designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybrid cloud, and/or onprem deployment models.
  • Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software.
  • May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud.
  • May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development projects.

Qualifications


Qualifications required to be successful:

  • BSc or higher degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming language: 4+ years
  • Experience in software/firmware development, development methods and practices: 3+ years
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Ability to work in a team as an active participant
  • Effective cross-team cooperation in a multinational environment
  • Willingness to learn new topics, improve own skillset, influence processes to increase team efficiency


The following will be considered an advantage:

  • Familiar with C#/Python programming language
  • Familiar with automated validation and processes
  • Deep knowledge about Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with hardware/software interactions, embedded firmware and real-time operating systems
  • Skills in concurrent programming in a multi-task environment
  • Experience with version control systems (preferably Git) Basic understanding of HW design

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
