Technical Project/Program Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to lead complex projects and programs focused on developing, implementing, or upgrading technology solutions and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence decision-making.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Apply technical background and specialized technology domain knowledge to manage complex projects and programs.
- Collaborate across organizations to develop detailed plans and manage all implementation processes, including change control, testing, documentation, and training.
- Ensure adherence to budget, schedule, resource allocation, and scope.
- Develop comprehensive schedules and proactively adjust for unforeseen scheduling challenges.
- Assess subproject dependencies and program constructs using multiple methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
- Develop project/program indicators to manage program health, including schedule, quality, and timelines.
- Communicate anomalies clearly, stating the problem and specific impact on the project.
- Identify tasks, assess costs, assign resources, and communicate expectations to team members.
- Create high-confidence project development and execution plans with well-defined objectives, milestones, and measurable success criteria.
- Monitor progress against schedule and take remedial action as appropriate.
- Coordinate and prioritize resource utilization with other functions.
- Lead the project team in complex technical and non-technical problem-solving.
- Regularly present and provide written communication for plans, risks, status, and decisions to varied audiences from functional areas to executive management.
- Understand technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with defined projects, applying this knowledge to deliverables and accelerating project completion.
In addition to the qualifications listed above, the ideal candidate will also have:
- Solid leadership skills with demonstrated ability to successfully lead a complex, cross-organization program.
- Solid communication skills- ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aware of progress and help needed for program deliverables.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence decision-making.
- Experience deploying software programs and the ability to leverage the latest best practices and methodologies.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, PhD with 2 years of experience in Program Management, Computer Science, Technology, or STEM-related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management and Software Development/Management practices.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-IT/BU and engagement via forums, steering committees, and communications while driving accountability to action.
- 5+ years of organizational financial and operations leadership experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading programs in large Enterprise Application development areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification.
- Program/Portfolio experience managing big scale ERP systems.
- Agile Scrum Master certification.
- SPC Safe certified consultant.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP systems such as ECC or S/4 HANA and Vistex V4 Rebate system.

Working Model
