As a GPU Linux Kernel Mode Driver Software Engineer in the DCAI (Data Center and Artificial Intelligence) software team you will develop and validate the software that enables Intel® GPUs for data center, client and edge products, for AI, compute and gaming. The scope of your work will range from supporting pre-silicon hardware verification, through post silicon driver development and validation, profiling and optimization, to productization and customer support.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below:

·Self-driven and results-oriented, capable of effectively working multiple tasks.

·Understanding of Linux Kernel.

·Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and 4+ years of relevant experience or

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • 3+ years of Linux kernel development and debugging experience.
  • 3+ years of Open-Source project/community interaction and contribution experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with Systems programming experience in C.
  • 3+ years of Git experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct contribution to upstream Linux kernel
  • Experience in Linux HW driver development - directly interacting with/driving HW.
  • Experience with device memory management.
  • Experience with GPU command execution.
  • Experience with contributions to the Linux DRM subsystem and drivers.
  • Familiarity with all components in a typical Open-Source Graphics/Compute/Media SW stack.
  • Experience working in simulation and emulation environments.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $123,419.00-$185,123.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
