Data Center NetOps Engineer
Job Description
Defines and/or contributes to the automation strategy, drives the maturity of automation solutions and their adoption in the network domain. Defines and implements the use of CI/CD in the environment, and version control for automation solutions. Assesses the needs and automates network deployments in cloud and on premise. Deploys and upgrades production and disaster recovery related network solutions for new and existing cloud. Scans the market to assess technology, product and automation solutions and tools applicable to Intel's network environment. Maintains and evaluates network management software and tools to deliver operational efficiency. Collaborates with other teams to design and implement tools for automating processes that involve the network infrastructure, network deployment, and operational tasks. Drives stability and sustainability of Intel's network infrastructure; identifies innovative ways to automate and scale the network to all the data centers. Builds tools to configure, monitor, maintain, and visualize Intel's network that connects multiple data centers, adhering to standard network operating procedures and policies. Codes and updates software to solve complex network management and monitoring tasks such as configuration and deployment of network devices, monitoring of network health metrics, and tracking network utilization over time. Contributes to building next generation solutions for network and security services, enhances the current service levels and manages the asset lifecycle including patch compliance, vulnerability management and configuration drift management.Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
- 5+ years of network operations and engineering experience in highly complex network environments containing Cisco, Extreme, Arista and F5 network components, ideally supported with a recognized industry certification e.g. Cisco CCNA.
- 1+ year working experience in Python and CI/CD environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SDN solutions from Cisco and/or Arista, implementing Layer 2/3 redundancy such as link aggregation protocols and loop prevention protocols e.g. MLAG, LACP, STP, HSRP, VRRP.
- Experience of implementing link aggregation protocols and loop prevention protocols e.g. MLAG, LACP, STP.
- Strong skills of managing a network fabric that includes supporting integrated components e.g. firewalls, load balancers, web app firewalls.
- Expert in TCP/IP variable length subnet masking, address allocation in both V4/V6.
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.
- Demonstrable knowledge of dynamic routing protocols e.g. OSPF, BGP.
- Strong experience with Network security concepts, appliances, and implementation.
- Comprehends industry cabling standards, and the layers of the OSI model.
- Strong skills in DNS/DHCP concepts and solutions.
- Experience with user level experience on Linux based platforms/appliances advantageous.
- Database skills: developing SQL queries.
- Understanding of CI/CD and working experience with GitHub
- Advanced scripting: Ansible or Python, advantage for Python skills.
- Backend scripting development: Experience with Rest API and XML/JSON.
