IFS Foundry Technology Engineering and Customer (FTEC) team is a critical team to lead Intel's design methodology and flow in advanced technology. As a role in IFS FTEC team, should be familiar with entire 3DIC design flow, ASIC (APR) design flow and qualified to have design experience in 3DIC/ASIC (APR) design. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for the 3DIC test chip design methodology or flow development especially in the areas of design partitioning, disaggregation, 3DIC planning, 3DIC early PPA analysis, handoff between 3DIC and ASIC implementation, synthesis, floorplan, PnR, Timing, Layout Verification, PG/EMIR, 3DIC Integration and 3DIC signoff. As part of this role, the candidate is expected to work with various cross functional teams and external EDAs to own and oversee the execution all the way. Candidate applying for the 3DIC Design Methodology and Flow Development Lead Engineer position shall have expertise in any or multiple areas listed below: 1) Experience with 3DIC implementation methodologies or design implementation with standard EDA tools from Cadence, Synopys etc. 2) Experience in full chip layout design activities such partitioning, bump planning, PG and reliability planning 3) Deeper understanding of Architecture and Micro architecture implications of 3DIC designs 4) Advanced ASIC (APR or PD) design including Synthesis, Floorplan, PnR, PG/EMIR, Timing, Layout verification and ECO 5) 3DIC design flow development and EDA tool certification 6) EDA design tool and design automation Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of articulating complex concepts and solutions 7) 3DIC EDA views development and qualification; 8) Development and/or Qualification of 3DIC components in PDK/reference flows/Foundation IP. The ideal candidate should exhibit the behavioral traits such as: Collaboration mindset with a focus on development/design methodology, operate seamless in cross functional or matrix organization setup, and deftly handle internal and external EDA/ecosystem engagements.

Qualifications


Qualifications Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: MS/Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a STEM related field of study 10+ years experiences in 3DIC Development, ASIC (APR) design, flow development, and EDA enablement; and/or Technical background in EDA tools Programming skill: TCL, PERL or SKILL Preferred qualifications: Experience in 3DIC PDK development and enablement is a plus. Experience with Cadence Integrity or Synopsys 3DIC compiler is a plus Experience in Full chip layout design involving chiplets of different technology nodes Experience in tools, flow and methodology development in FinFET technologies Experience in handling EDA and PDK development stake holders Good communication and presentation skills to executive project coordination Programming skill: Python
