Job Description
The Intel Software and Advanced Technology Group's Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) delivers innovative, high quality software that differentiates Intel products and maximizes customer value. MTC's mission is to ensure Microsoft operating environments, tools, and key applications run best on Intel architecture and Intel architecture is best designed for them. To do this, we collaborate closely with Microsoft to define, develop and deliver new technologies and experiences across IOT, Client, as well as Cloud and Edge.

The explosive data growth with AI, HPC, intelligent cloud, and remote connectivity has created an increased demand for efficient platforms and database engines that can handle this accelerated growth. In this role, you will work on end-to-end hardware and software optimizations that help influence our partners to adopt leading edge Intel features. In addition, you will bring software and workload knowledge back to Intel, to help influence the future roadmap to build the best client and server products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Engage with external partners, as well as internal Intel teams to understand the use case for new technologies and opportunities for Intel
Evaluate new Intel technologies like storage, memory, security by creating Proof of concepts and present the findings to our partners as well as Intel architects
Use performance methodologies to improve Intel's hardware and optimize software stack to ensure best performance on IA
Communication and stakeholder management skills, able to negotiate and resolve conflict within all levels of the organization towards to a win-win/best for business solution
Tolerance to ambiguity, build consensus across organization and having a proactive approach to manage changes to deliver to tight milestones
Demonstrated discipline attentiveness to detail and the ability to work under limited supervision
Capable of handling multiple assignments in a timely manner while meeting assigned deadline.
Strong business acumen skills.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. The following preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's in computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or relevant field with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master's in computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a relevant field with 3+ years of relevant experience. And 3+ years of experience in the following:
Computer Architecture Fundamentals
Software Development
Software Optimization and Debugging
Candidate must have permanent right to work in Costa Rica
Advanced English level
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with performance tools and methodologies
Expertise in Server Operating Systems and concepts
Multithreaded programming patterns and libraries knowledge
Experience with performance tools like Emon, Xperf, Vtune
Deep Technical subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas is critical:
Data Center and Cloud Management systems
Expert in C/C++ programming and code optimization
