Cloud Solutions Engineer
Job Description
Join us in our mission to enable breakthrough innovation for cloud computing in Intel's Data Platform Engineering and Architecture group (DPEA).
Intel Data Platform Group (DPG) focused on engineering developing and supporting world class platforms and component building blocks aligned to DPG's roadmap and strategies.
As a Cloud Solutions Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Characterize and measure performance bottlenecks on Intel Xeon products across Cloud Service Provider workloads (High Performance Computing (HPC), and Media workloads
- Find optimization opportunities in the next Generation CPU Architecture.
- Deep dive into both hardware and software of Customer workloads to understand full system architecture with power and performance.
- Design, develop and implement proxy workloads to emulate customer scenarios.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.
- -OR - Master's degree with 4+years of industry experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.
- Software/Script Development and/or Debug.
- Computer/Systems architecture and/or x86 CPU architecture.
- Software workload performance tuning and/or analysis.
- C/C++ and/or Python
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Power management tuning, power measurements and software optimization on CPU or GPU.
- Experience with performance benchmarking tools like Linux perf, iostat, and/or Intel Vtune.
- Experience with Computer Hardware Setup, Enterprise/Cloud Environments, Caching Software, Memory SW, SSDs, NVMe, and Software Defined Storage.
