Middleware Validation Engineer
Job Description
The Client Platform Solutions team within CCG's Platform Software Engineering (PSE) organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated software validation and automation engineer with a passion for quality.
Our team focuses on the architecture, design, development, integration, and validation of a suite of products/solutions/SDKs that optimize the power/performance of client platforms as well as introduces new end user experiences through context awareness and AI/ML algorithms.
In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for validating world-class solutions and technologies, as well as developing test automation, of Windows platform drivers. We're a best-in-class team that is relentlessly driving the highest quality of CCG products. You will be joining a high-performing agile team of architects, developers, test automation developers, and validation engineers.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:--Analyzing software requirements and designs, and providing feedback on their testability--Working closely with developers on new product features: developing and executing a test strategy, including verification and writing test cases--Debugging issues, filing defects--Developing tools, frameworks, and test automation using one or more of: C/C++, C#--Monitoring, debugging, and root causing failures in test automation--Improving both test and automation processes to increase product quality and/or team efficiency
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the skills listed below OR
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and minimum of 1 years of experience in the skills listed below
- - 1+ yrs in validating and debugging software/drivers
- - Excellent programming skills in at least one of the following: C/C++, C#, Python
Preferred Qualifications:
- -1+ yrs experience developing either Windows or OS agnostic test automation
- - Experience with Continuous Integration practices
- - Experience with Agile methodologies
- - Knowledge of Intel mobile platform architecture, CPU/PCH architecture.
- -Experience in platform debugging and a solid understanding of BIOS, Embedded Controller, ACPI, Kernel and User mode drivers
- - Experience in power/thermal management. Experience with Thermal characterization/tuning on form-factor systems
- - Strong analytical and problem solving skills and have the ability to work independently and in teams
- - Experience leading a team of contractors
- - Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and switch between them quickly to meet prioritized business needs
- - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience developing and validating software in Windows OS
