Silicon Physical Design Engineer
Job Description
A Senior Silicon Physical Designer is expected to take a leadership role driving products towards manufacturing and coordinating between front- and back-end teams. The person in this role is expected to drive technical and methodology direction for physical design across multiple programs. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: � Responsible for all aspects of physical design and implementation of custom SoC designs � Participate in establishing physical design methodologies, flow automation, chip floorplan, power/clock distribution � Perform all aspects of the SoC design flow from high level design to synthesis, place and route and clock tree synthesis, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing � Multiple Power Domain analysis, chip assembly and place and route, timing closure � Craft designs for static timing analysis, power and noise analysis and back-end verification � Work across multiple programs at varying stages of development and modulate role as needed to fill gaps and assure program success � Drive inter-organization collaboration, provide technical guidance, and mentor engineers � Meet directly with current and prospective customers to understand their mission goals and contribute to high level solutions using new and existing capabilities � A strong commitment to planning and executing to the project's high-level schedule is a mustQualifications
Qualifications: � Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEM related field of study with 10+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience � Experience in block level design and associated circuit design tools (Synopsys), (such as logic synthesis, place and route, static timing analysis and design closure) � Experience in SOC integration and chip-level physical design and verification (such as formal equivalence, timing, electrical rules, DRC/LVS, Noise and reliability checks) � Experience with physical design project life cycle � Excellent communications skills both internally across Intel and with external customers � Experience working with China datacenter or telecom customers - Preferred � Experience with package design and platform/form factor constraints - Preferred � Experience with scripting languages - Preferred � Experience with DFX, debug, process technology and design for manufacturing - PreferredInside this Business Group
