Data Center Business Development
Job Description
In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future. You will drive revenue and profitability growth across multiple data center segments which are going through AI transformation and influence Altera product and solution roadmaps.
The successful candidate may do the following but not limited to:
Support the development and execution of business strategies that aid the long-term growth for Altera's Data Center business unit.
Determine plausible targets and define the strategic roadmap to achieve those targets.
Align business unit goals, processes, and resource allocation with sales, planning and engineering. Shapes the role of solutions and partnerships to capture favorable market share.
Identify value creation opportunities based on detailed assessment and analysis of current technology footprint.
Conduct market research and benchmarks organization's technology performance.
Track key market trends and benchmarks competitors to propose recommendations and next steps.
Build business cases and review to ensure consent of senior leaders and stakeholders.
Work with project and cross-functional teams to ensure strategy projects timeline and budget.
Conduct market strategy research.
Leverage technical, business, and organizational acumen, and networking capabilities to engage at a high level and influence critical decisions.
Drive the business unit priorities and perspectives, engages with customers and co-travelers to influence and communicate the business unit's vision.
Engage technologists within the industry to evaluate requirements, determine priorities for development, and connect with customers to provide solutions.
Qualifications
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years in a customer facing role within the semiconductor industry
4+ years in a technical position supporting silicon (hardware development, validation, software or qualification)
Preferred Qualifications:
Sales enablement and guidance
Relationships with data center accounts
Set short term strategies to maximize revenue
Own long-term strategies to drive growth and market share improvements
Investment analysis
Value pricing and business models
Collect segment/market/product requirements
Drive successful eco-system partnerships
