Senior Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer (DevOps)
Job Description
The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is now Altera, an Intel Company. Altera prioritizes customers with end-to-end FPGAs, accessible AI, software, and supply resilience. In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future. You will be part of Altera Software and Solutions (SaS) DevOps Team also known as SPES. SPES is looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 8 years of experience in the field of DevOps, with a strong background in cloud infrastructure management and automation. Key responsibility of this DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure specialist is to lead and drive our transition from legacy DevOps environment into cloud based next generation platform and framework. Traditional operations roles focus on maintaining systems and reacting to issues, often with a fire-fighting mentality. However, as applications and infrastructure became complex and cloud-based - a more proactive and software-centric approach was needed to ensure reliability at scale. By combining software engineering and systems administration, SREs brings a different mindset to operations. They approached operations challenges with a software engineering perspective, leveraging: Coding Automation Engineering PrinciplesQualifications

PowerShell, and the dreaded Windows Batch Monitoring tools, and how to aggregate data to them Dashboard tools Database design and management Bonus: Front-end web dev (but really, that isn't ideal for an SRE to focus on) Altera creates market-leading programmable logic devices that deliver a wide range of capabilities to customers today.
