Middleware Engineer
Job Description
In this position, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing 24x7 level-2 support for Middleware applications in a manufacturing environment. They will be required to work Compressed Day and Night Shift at the Kulim site with hybrid work model. The selected candidate will work with a global factory network across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Managing Middleware infrastructure to meet performance, security, high availability and other requirements.
2. Performing operational Middleware administration duties in a large-scale, complex environment. These will include deploy, configure, administer, support, upgrades, and patching.
3. Provide monitoring to middleware application associated tools and utilities. Review and enhance documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
Minimum Qualification:
1. Ability to function in a global 24x7 support environment, interacting with a large number of teams.
2. Highly flexible, results-oriented and customer first mindset.
3. Strong project management, verbal and written skills.
4. Strong Analytical skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues in a high pressure environment.
5. Understanding of Agile frameworks, ITIL
6. GitHub, CI/CD
Preferred qualifications:
1. Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
2. Experience with Cloud Computing - Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Containers, Object Storage
3. Opensource technologies like Kafka, Redis, Elastic Search
4. COM+, .NET, MSXML, MSMQ, pub/sub technology
