GPU Firmware Development Engineer

Intel is looking for a talented firmware engineer to develop and maintain GPU software solutions. This can include modifying and customizing embedded OS drivers and applications and creating validation scripts for features developed. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and validating GPU firmware which controls and monitors the low-level hardware.

As a Firmware Development Engineer , your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develops embedded software/firmware within environments that have constrained timing and memory resources, designs, and implements reusable code, performs design and code reviews, as well as tests and validates product implementations.
Job may require experience in system architecture and modeling, operating systems, device architecture, system integration, algorithm modeling, digital signal processing, and/or hardware design.
Works with a variety of storage interface standards.
Performs system-level design modeling, and systems integration, additionally performing algorithm modeling, benchmarking implementation, and/or digital signal processing.

Qualifications
You must possess the minimum education requirements noted below and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience or a
-OR - Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent and 3 + years of relevant experience
Candidate must have 4+ years of experience with all the following:
Working in an embedded software development environment with the C / C++ programming language
Embedded firmware development using Zephyr or similar Linux based embedded OS.
Programming in C and Python.
Embedded system interfaces and troubleshooting multi-processor systems
Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:
Experience with Zephyr and Linux operating systems.
Strong understanding of embedded systems which use i2c, GPIO, PCIe, and other hardware interfaces.
Experience with Ethernet networking and an understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP.
Working experience with software engineering development lifecycle process.
Participation in an open-source project
