Component Debug manager
Job Description
MPEs Component Debug (CD) team in IDC has an opening for overall team lead and manager. CD is CCG's center of excellence for deep Si debug in support of post-Si product ramp and enabling. We resolve Si quality and performance issues blocking products from meeting PRQ requirements with direct debug problem solving expertise, leveraging state of the art methodologies and tools. This team is a critical ingredient to MPEs strategy of enabling strong centralized debug support for our entire product portfolio and scaling it going forward. This team specifically supports the CDG product roadmap, and supports other segments as needed as part of the CD One-team network.In this role, you will be a member of MPE CCG SDE staff and direct line manage a team of 10 or more debuggers. Candidate should have a broad set of technical problem solving skills, business acumen, and demonstrated an effective mix of collaboration skills on both organizational and people development topics, and technical task force settings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of managerial experience and ability to manage, mentor, and ramp engineers into a demanding debug environment.
- BSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Multiple years of relevant experience in post-Si and/or design.
- Experience debugging circuit issues in leading edge silicon.
- Understanding of design for debugging and design for test features.
- Client post-Si experience.
- Demonstrated ability to solve issues and lead teams through influence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to influence the design and post-silicon engineering teams and to communicate effectively with product and platform management.
- Strong multi-tasker who can quickly synthesize information in order to make technical decisions and priority calls.
Advantage:
- Experience in a pre-silicon logic or circuit design role
- Knowledge/experience in debug testers and/or analytical probe tools along with the knowledge to choose the right tool for the job.
