Facility Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Intel Dalian Memory Technology and Manufacturing (DMTM) is high-volume manufacturing memory fab in Intel China working on leading edge 3D NAND product. Intel and SK Hynix have an agreement for SK Hynix to acquire Intel's NAND memory and storage business. and Intel will continue to manufacture NAND wafers at the Dalian memory manufacturing until the final closing expected to occur in March 2025. Intel DMTM will continue to build on the success of our NAND technology at a greater scale, play a larger role in supporting our customers.
Ensures availability, reliability, and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems (e.g., oilfree air systems, HVAC systems, chilled water plant, boilers, environmental abatement systems, and environmental compliance exhaust) to support manufacturing, clean room, and research and development activities. Supports daily tactical efforts in safety, reliability, and environmental objectives of facilities mechanical systems. Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging and troubleshoots mechanical systems systematic issues and provides evaluation, recommendations, and solutions to resolve problems. Develops engineering scope of work for mechanical projects and provides engineering design review and evaluation of mechanical systems. Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication, and provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation. Partners with business unit customers and internal customers to provide engineering solutions in support of their equipment and systems. Partners with operations and maintenance service providers to ensure mechanical systems are maintained and operated within specified limits. Develops mechanical systems roadmap and asset replacement strategy to ensure reliability, redundancy, and capacity are available for expansion of existing facilities, renovation, and growth.
This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storage business to SK. This transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage, and you will be joining a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK group. We will keep you informed updates and steps related to this transaction.
Qualifications
� More than 3 years of relevant operation and maintenance working experience on below system equipment: HVAC equipment, Chiller and Cooling Tower, Boiler, air compressor. Better to have experience on: Clean Room, Scrubber and Exhaust, Vacuum System, Natural gas, dosing chemical.� Semiconductor factory working experience is preferred- 3+ years of Experience in Mechanical Engineering with experience in large-scale mechanical engineering facility services support, experience on piping PVC, PP and metal work, pipe and duct insulation- Theory and operation and maintenance knowledge on at least 2 of these equipment: Air handler, Pumps, Fans, Chiller, Boiler, Cooling Tower,
� Demonstrated solid knowledge of overall site cooling/heating balance, know and experienced on water and air balance
� 3+ years of Solid hands-on experience with mechanical (pumps, piping, valves, and other) and control (instrumentation, PCS and other) systems.- Excellent communication and analyzing skills, complete fluency in oral and written English skill
� Ability to effectively and safely operate - Ability to handle standard maintenance tools and test equipment
� 3+ years of experience to identifying, analyzing and solving immediate issues with technical equipment, able to exercise independent judgment, follow defined standards and procedures, and to work well with minimal supervision
� Commissioning and sustaining experience of Cleanroom
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in HVAC Program, Power, Thermal Energy Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical or a related field.
