HANA Database Administrator
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP HANA Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing our organization's SAP HANA database environment. This position requires extensive knowledge of SAP HANA database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. The SAP HANA DBA will work closely with other team members to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our SAP HANA database systems. By joining our team as a Senior SAP HANA DBA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our organization's SAP HANA database environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and maintain the organization's SAP HANA database environment, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Monitor and optimize database performance using various tuning techniques and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data integrity issues, and system failures.
- Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies, ensuring the availability and integrity of data.
- Collaborate with SAP Basis administrators, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the SAP HANA database with other systems and applications.
- Implement and maintain database security best practices, including user access management, data encryption, and regular security audits.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to the SAP HANA database environment, including architecture diagrams, data models, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with capacity planning and scalability assessments to support the organization's growth and performance requirements.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to junior database administrators and other team members.
- Stay current with the latest SAP HANA features, updates, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the willingness to troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the willingness to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the willingness to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in SAP HANA Database Administration.
A strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture, administration, builds, upgrades and performance tuning.
- SAP HANA database backup and recovery strategies.
- SAP HANA security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Linux/UNIX operating systems and shell scripting
- This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Certifications:
- Relevant SAP HANA certifications, such as SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 2.0 or SAP Certified Technology Specialist - SAP HANA Installation, are a plus.
