EDA Tool Engineer
Job Description
Intel Dalian Memory Technology and Manufacturing (DMTM) is high-volume manufacturing memory fab in Intel China working on leading edge 3D NAND product. Intel and SK Hynix have an agreement for SK Hynix to acquire Intel's NAND memory and storage business. and Intel will continue to manufacture NAND wafers at the Dalian memory manufacturing until the final closing expected to occur in March 2025. Intel DMTM will continue to build on the success of our NAND technology at a greater scale, play a larger role in supporting our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain design environments and infrastructures to support complex chip design projects.
- Collaborate with design teams to capture user stories and requirements, translating them into functional and test code.
- Automate build and deployment processes, ensuring a streamlined and efficient design workflow.
- Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing of software tools, flows, and methodologies.
- Provide support and develop solutions to enhance the productivity of design engineers.
- Engage with EDA vendors to stay updated on the latest tools and methodologies related to Analog, Digital, and Backend design groups.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering with 3 years of industry experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and scripting languages (Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, Skill) within Linux environments.
- Experience with software development flows and architecture.
- Knowledge of digital circuit and layout design.
- Familiarity with EDA tools such as PrimeTime, StarRC, Design Compiler, ICC, Fusion Compiler, and Innovus.
- Deep understanding of custom layout and schematic tools (Virtuoso) and simulation tools (Spectre, Hspice).
