Lab Engineering Power Technician (Temporary position)
Job Description
We are seeking for a dynamic individual to join our lab within the Data Center Power Solutions team in a temporary position performing Voltage Regulator (VR) testing.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Responsible for technical power/VR validation in support of power solutions engineering activities.
- Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in design and/or research work.
- May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assignments are semi routine in nature.
- Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.
- Normally receives general instructions on most work.
The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:
- Advanced communications skills, willing to communicate findings verbally and through reports to engineers and other requestors as needed.
- Willing to work in a collaborative manner with a variety of different individuals in a fast paced, technical environment.
- Willing to work effectively in an ambiguous environment with changing priorities.
Please consider that this is a temporary position (1 year).
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications, you must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:
- Technician or associate´s degree in Electronics, mechatronics, or similar technical discipline.
6+ months of experience in:
- Platform rework, including platform and package rework/soldering/replace components. Should be expert in soldering and performing reworks.
- Using oscilloscope, probes, DMM and function generator, including advanced functions.
- Working, reading, and understanding schematics and board layout data bases.
- Regular routine lab maintenance, equipment calibration, parts and platform tracking, platform ordering/purchase.
- Intermediate English level.
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.
Preferred qualifications, are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- Experience with Voltage Regulator testing.
- Experience using logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer.
- Experience using Excel.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a- combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
