In this position, you will be part of Intel Edge Computing Group, working in Product Support and Enabling Team. Product Support and Enabling Team always strive to make our world a better place using Intel technology in partnership with our customers with the top mission to accelerate our customers and partners to differentiate through our world class support and services
As a System and Hardware Enabling Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design platforms with Intel architecture for Core, Atom and Xeon segments. You will also have the opportunity to define and design customer focused reference design, integrating customer voices on market/ industry preference and enabling new technologies that accelerate customer's product design cycle.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with Platform Architects to define platform requirements and board strategies, component selection, circuit definition and design, platform bring-up and testing in addition to interfacing with cross-functional teams to oversee all aspects of the hardware design.
- Provides technical support to customer for solutions that incorporate one or more Intel products and technologies, helping customer to deliver quality design, accelerating overall design cycle and time to market readiness
- Provides technical and issue resolution support during development, testing, and production cycle
- Creates product application notes, user guides, whitepaper and other supporting technical collateral for better customer support reference to help customer design easily with Intel
- Evaluates and develops new tools/ software to improve overall efficiency that optimize product quality and performance.
- Evaluate and Integrate Customer's Design/ Voice of customer via Data Mining and bring the voices back to PAE/ Engineering/ Planning team to deliver the best solution to our customers
- Partners with different stakeholder to ensure smooth product ramp through integrating customer requirements during early program planning, design and development, delivering product training, and providing health oversight with rapid technical support and systematic improvement action.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering
- With 7+ years of experience on hardware design, board debugging, bring-up and testing on Intel architecture
- Capable of implementing a design from requirements documentation/block diagrams.
- Familiarity of end-to-end hardware flow - product requirements, logical design, physical design, manufacturing, platform bring-up and testing.
- Experience interacting with cross-functional teams (Signal/Power Integrity, Thermal/Mechanical, PCB Layout, Manufacturing, Package, Validation, Software, Silicon).
- Familiar with circuit design/ circuit theory, understanding of electrical component and characteristics
- Familiar/ Hands-on experience with lab tools (oscilloscopes, analyzers, multimeter)
- Excellence in communication (verbal and written) with ability to work with diverse set of stakeholders (eg. Marketing, Silicon Design Engineers/Architect, Validation Engineers and Customers).
- Basic understanding of software programming language and scripts (Python, etc.).
Additional requirement:
- 3+ Experience with Cadence Concept.
- Familiarity with Cadence System Capture and Allegro.
- Understanding of the PCB layout process and basic layout-affecting principles such as board stack-up, manufacturability, SI, PI, EMI, EMC, ESD.
