Who We Are
With the exponential growth in video traffic, and the expected wave of innovation in CDN, Cloud Gaming, Video Production and Immersive, the visual cloud and edge is one of the next major innovation cycles that will transform how we experience and interpret the world. Media and Entertainment Solutions Division (MESD) is responsible for advancing Intel's leadership in the creation and delivery of compelling visual experiences from the Edge and the Cloud, enabling the full Intel product portfolio for visual workloads. The team works in a matrixed environment across Intel to define a competitive CPU/GPU/XPU roadmap for visual workloads and delivers platform and software innovations to make it easy for Cloud, Telco, and Broadcast customers to deploy exciting visual experiences on Intel platforms.
Our flagship segment is the Content Delivery Network (CDN) that aims to enable our customers bring content closer to their users, enhancing their experiences, reducing latency and improving load times by serving content from the nearest locations via a globally distributed network of servers.
Who You Are
We are looking for a stellar CDN solutions architect to drive innovation and momentum with our customers and partners, showcasing the value propositions of Intel platforms and to influence enhancements of future platforms. The platform solutions architect will work with MESD customers and partner ecosystem to help drive their deployment and scale of multiple media services on Intel platforms.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Supporting MESD CDN opportunities as a Pre-Sales technology specialist and technical escalation point.
Driving new customer acquisition, support sales and marketing go-to-market initiatives. Direct customer engagement is required.
Translate requirements, key performance and experience indicators into platform architecture encompassing hardware, software, SoCs, and other components designed to support a variety of systems, solutions, and applications.
Drive technical readiness of prototype platform design, creates design specification, develop block diagrams and/or high-level designs, and specifies key components, as needed, to meet platform requirements including platform mechanical and thermal architecture.
Invent, conceptualize, and specify architectural features for next generation platforms and make product technology and platform tradeoff decisions ensuring platforms conform to standards, specifications, and landing zones.
Provide experimental and proof of concept solutions for proposing design alternatives that meet performance, power, area, and timing constraints.
Review, challenge, and influence cross functional roadmaps and technology targets.
Collaborate with other architects, design engineers, and validation engineers to improve the overall design of platform and overcome constraints.
The candidate should understand the use cases, technical merits and TCO value propositions, identifying gaps and opportunities and putting in place solutions that drive alignment with the MESD customer service offerings. Employ solution selling methodologies to influence within the customer organization and Intel to drive customer requirements and market needs into actionable goals.
Develop the strategy and influence Intel's product and solution roadmap to meet MESD market requirements, drive clear competitive differentiation, and prove the value of these solutions in practice. Build, test and position solutions value to customer influencers, software partners as well as train worldwide sales force to scale business opportunities.
Experience in model-based problem solving that enable the effective investigation and narrow-down of complex issues.
Excellent communications skills, including experience producing complex content to customers and through whitepapers, application notes, and other assets.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field with 6+ years relevant industry experience listed below.:
Knowledge of platform fundamentals including CPUs, GPUs, accelerators, networking and storage.
Experience with Content Delivery Networks, caching, storage and Networking
Benchmarking and Performance KPI measurements and testing.
Generating TCO models involving various network elements that influences pricing decisions.
Experience working in a customer facing technical role with a public cloud or cloud software company.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field with 4+ years relevant industry experience listed below
Experience with both Edge and Cloud deployment models.
Knowledge of CSP's and CoSP's deployment models.
Familiarity with CDN industry solutions and trends.
Experience with evangelizing technologies in public forums as conferences and various customer events to help drive software evolution infrastructure change and business scale.
