Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Neuromorphic Processor Design Engineerspecializing in micro-architecture and logic design to join Intel’s Neuromorphic Computing Lab to implement the next generation of Intel's future commercial neuromorphic processors and IP.
Neuromorphic computing takes inspiration from biological systems to realize vastly more efficient AI processors than today's conventional compute systems through memory-compute integration, event-based processing and massive parallelism. Intel Loihi is the leading, most versatile neuromorphic AI processor enabling energy-efficient and high-performance AI applications spanning perception, planning and control tasks from the edge to the data center.
As a Senior Neuromorphic Processor Design Engineer, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Drive and oversee the front-end design and optimization of Intel's next generation neuromorphic cores, chiplets, and IP.
Workwith a small yet elite team of design, verification, and EDA engineers who are comfortable contributing across all levels of silicon engineering and have advanced the forefront of asynchronous and neuromorphic design for many years.
Collaborate with a broader interdisciplinary team spanning system and software architects, AI framework developers, application engineers, and algorithms researchers working to advance Intel's neuromorphic technology out of the lab and into a wide range of commercial products.
In addition to the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will also have exhibited the behavioral skills below:
Ability to learn and adapt new design and computing concepts in relation to the many novel properties of neuromorphic computing.
Eagerness to learn and a passion for innovation are essential prerequisites for success in this role.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
