Material Program Manager
Job Description
- Translates manufacturing, market dynamics, and business requirements into actionable strategies and tactics as they relate to bills of materials risk assessment/mitigation, inventory health/optimization, streamlined / reliable services and logistics, supplier performance and payment/credit/warranty remedies reconciliation.
- Coordinates purchasing activities with virtual factory business partners such as managing and reconciling demand and delivery schedules.
- Monitors the acquisition of materials in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs/projects and ramp readiness for seamless transition to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) and dispositions materials for end-of-life factories.
- Interlock with suppliers on delivery performance management based on departmental indicators, cost opportunities, and future operational strategies based on contractual requirements established through commodity managers.
- Partners with the factories to drive the lowest possible materials and service impact to tool availability.
- Identifies and recommends continuous process improvements based on thorough understanding of business processes and supply chain, to drive efficiencies across the organization.
- Works closely in collaboration with cross functional team across project/program management, engineering, supply chain, including commodity professionals/purchasing and manufacturing, to solve problems and drive supply chain solutions.
- Ensures tight linkages to each business unit's production requirements to enable output maximization while balancing cost and inventory control.
- Supports internal, external and ISO audit activities ensuring department compliance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications requirements to be initially considered for this position:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial engineering, or similar,
- 3 years of work experience in a technology or manufacturing company, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Fluent written and verbal English level.
- Advanced Excel and Data Analytics Skills.
Preferred qualifications and behavioral traits, in addition to the minimum requirements:
- Strong analytical, and critical problem-solving skills (LEAN methodology - advantage)
- Project and stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills with proactive liaison across multiple groups and geographically dispersed teams
- Negotiation and Influencing Skills
- Flexible and adaptive to change, customer-oriented
- SAP knowledge
- ServiceNow knowledge
- Experience with business process sharing, requirement gathering and specification, system design conversation with technical team, SQL or any scripting language will be a plus.
