As an Engineering Technician on the Design Enablement team, you will:
- Be given high-level goals or objectives and you will need to determine how to achieve them. This includes activities such as:
- Devise scientific experiments which need to be conducted
- Participate in the definition, selection, procurement, commissioning, and validation of equipment and instrumentation needed for testing.
- Drive logistics management and physical set up of prototype systems and peripheral devices
- Develop detailed procedural plans, ensuring strict safety standards are followed
- Perform electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting activities to root-cause issues
- Propose and conduct plans to remedy issues or inaccuracies in test setups
- Design and develop customized equipment, fixtures, and/or protocols to enable highly accurate data results
- Develop technical documentation, including functional specifications and requirements, manufacturing test specifications, qualification test plans, and standard operating procedures of equipment and processes.
- Ensure test results are recorded accurately and in adherence to established quality practices.
- Perform preventive maintenance and good laboratory housekeeping.
This is a full-time, On-Site, 3-month internship, targeting a start date of Summer 2025. Intern must be able to be on-site in Hillsboro Oregon weekly.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
Must be pursuing as BS degree in STEM related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: C/C++/Perl/Matlab/Python
- Experience with laboratory experiments
- Proficiency in technical writing
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
